Are you an avid reader? Will your summer consist of adventuring through the pages of your favorite novels? Well Barnes and Noble have an event just for you!
This coming weekend, June 10-12, Barnes and Noble will be hosting their own Teen Book Festival. For those of you in the Boston Area, their Prudential Center location will be hosting the festival. (800 Boylston Street Suite 179)
So why should you take part? Well if you are an avid reader, the event is sure to be a dream come true. The even will feature giveaways and Young Adult inspired trivia, along with sneak peaks at upcoming novels from some of biggest names in the genre.
This is great opportunity to meet and interact with other like-minded teens that share the same love of reading.
If you’re not an avid reader, it’s still a great opportunity. Obviously I can’t overstate the importance of reading, especially at a young age. You hear this on a regular basis, whether in school or from your parents.
Well, that’s because it’s the truth.
Reading is great for your development in learning. Whether you’re reading fiction, non-fiction, essays, or sports articles; reading is essential in keeping your mind sharp.
But there is so much to be gained from reading. Whether it’s reading an amazing fantasy adventure that transports you to another world, or an inspiring story of courage and perseverance, great stories can and will have a positive impact on your life.
So why not check out a festival specifically for teen readers? You may find a new hobby this summer.
If you’re looking to do more than read, there will be a creative workshop on Sunday the 12th. The workshop will teach teens how to write a log line, create a spark page, and reimagine popular characters.
